About us

The vision of MomSays is to be the definitive place where anyone can make a book for children.

The journey of MomSays began when the founder, searching for a book for her daughter’s playschool reading list, ended up creating one. Such was the joy of creating the book that MomSays Pvt. Ltd. was established.

As the idea evolved, it took the form of momsays.co.in, an online platform dedicated to help one-and-all create beautiful books for children. The in-house art styles, ranging from the traditional to the origami/shapes-inspired, have been created keeping children in mind.

Parents can write stories to enrich their child’s formative years, educationists can provide roots to teaching, and authors can see their passion reach fruition.

An online bookstore provides an ideal platform for those wishing to sell their books created through MomSays.

The website also includes printable worksheets, segregated across age and skill-set, thereby providing a hassle-free way for parents to source the correct worksheets, and provide a fun way for children to sharpen their knowledge.

Meet our core team

Ambika Tiku Hathiari

Founder, Director MomSays Pvt. Ltd.

Ambika is the ‘author’ of momsays.co.in, which owes its genesis to her daughter’s need for unique reading books for her preschool.

Creating books for her daughter set her on a path to her first entrepreneurial venture, which she believes is a culmination of learning from her career and those that come from motherhood.

Ambika began her career when the internet was still gaining a foothold in India. Her experience in the space dates back to 1999, with Indian Express’ online venture. Her interest in exploring every facet of the internet led her to work with HDFC Life Insurance, moving to Lowe Lintas as Head Digital and subsequently to Starcom IP as Country Head Digital. Over the many cycles of the internet, she has been part of most aspects promoting the space - from digital marketing and advertising to creative and media.

She branched out into consulting, providing consultancy services on digital strategies to leading companies such as the The Economist, BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. and ASK Wealth Advisors.

Ambika holds a Masters degree in Physics from University of Mumbai, and an MBA (with distinction) from University of Nottingham, UK.

Mustafa Hathiari

Consultant, Editorial

As a part of MomSays, Mustafa ensures quality content across published books.

Many books are written for children. And many of these light up the imagination of children, as was the case in Mustafa's formative years.

Because of the joy that reading gave Mustafa throughout his childhood, he remained 'stung' by the reading and writing bug. In fact, he largely attests this to his venturing to become a journalist - which brought together his curious as well as love for writing sides.

Setting up MomSays Pvt Ltd, and his journey with the venture, is to ensure that each MomSays book is well edited, is free of biases, and has the right thought / text and structuring to connect with the age group that the author wants to enlighten.

Over the 20+ years, he has been a journalist, writer and editor. Currently, he is a Lead Editor at CRISIL, a subsidiary of S&P.
